Throwback Trend Tricks

Fashion re invents it' self every year, and most trends tend to come back again decades later as the "new" hot thing, just with a slight twist.  The same thing can be said for beauty trends.  An old trick that makeup artists have been doing for years is lining the lower inner rim of the eye with a white eyeliner in an attempt to open up the eye.  It has always been used on people with almond shaped or smaller shaped eyes.  Well, in the fashion of using old tricks as new tricks I encourage you to try this one at home!  The twist here is, instead of using white eyeliner which can tend to appear harsh and bright, try a nude liner.  The nude will be more subtle while achieving the same ultimate goal of making those beautiful eyes appear bigger and brighter.  And let's face it, everything is better when it is bigger and brighter.  Check out the picture (above right) right to see the effects of this on different shaped eyes, some more dramatic than others.  Happy Friday beautynistas and have a great weekend!

TIP: Makeup forever has a great nude liner that doesn't smudge or run and lasts all day.  It is hard to a good liner for that inner rim as it can tend to get wet and just wear right off, so it is worth it to splurge on a good one.
