Sassy Chic would like to take a minute to acknowledge all those that are still out there with no food or power after the terrible storm known as Sandy. We were lucky enough to not only make it safely through this storm that claimed so many lives, homes, and more, but to also have made it through with out losing power or heat. I am here to personally tell you that just because it may or may not be bad in your specific area, it IS bad out there. Many are so quickly forgetting or ignoring the damage that has actually been done. And many are just completely un-aware of the actual impact this storm had on certain areas. Please take a moment to get educated and see what is still going on out there, what areas are still in massive need of food, water and blankets as temperatures are expected to significantly drop this week. We will keep you informed on what shelters and organizations are accepting donations. We can tell you for sure that the local areas that were hit the hardest are the Rockaways, Long Beach, Staten Island and the Jersey Shore so please research and start there. Contact the red cross and other organizations to donate time and or money, it will definitely be greatly appreciated! And again, Sassy Chic will give you all the latest on specific locations and specific things they need and are collecting. :)
Here are a few places we know that have been taking donations so far, I won't lie, it keeps changing so please double check but I wanted to go ahead and give you a heads up...
