Trend ALERT!..Bangs or Fringe?

Trend ALERT!  As one of my old British instructors at cosmetology once instructed me, "It's never a bang, bang is a verb, it is called a fringe".  But whether we are flashing back to the good old school days with the term fringe or using the average, more common term, bang, they are back and are easily fall's most sought after accessory!  Though, as I type this I can't help but wonder..Are they really back or is it more appropriate to say they are actually just.. still around.  Has the bang-fringe really ever left the scene in the last few years since celebutantes such as Zoe Deschanel started rocking them?  I don't know, I feel like they have been pretty steadily maintaining their popularity, but either way they are still HUGE right now.  We have seen Timberlake's woman, Jessica sporting the bang more recently and plenty of other celebs are following in those footsteps.  They were also seen all over the runways this past fashion week.  If you've got em' flaunt em' beautynistas, whether they are short and blunt, long and wispy, or simply side swept, they are a hit.  Bangs tend to frame the face and help to accentuate the eyes so they can be worn easily with a little more dramatic makeup or just a simple chic natural face.

Before you grab the scissors and snip away, you need to prepare yourself that the bang-fringe is a mega commitment.  Even when waking up and throwing your hair in a pony tail, you still may need to do some styling to your new accessory.  When blow drying your bangs, hold the blow dryer above your head and pointed down at the root.  You want to make sure to blow dry in the direction you want your bang to lay.  If you have a blunt bang, point the dryer down and blow dry in a downward direction using a denmin or paddle brush.  If you have a side swept bang, blow dry them in that specific direction.  When they are trained to lay that way from the beginning, they are less likely to act up later, food for thought.  Also, be very careful when it comes to flat ironing your bang-fringe, they can easily get kinked or simply start to stick strait out so use the same technique and iron in the same direction you plan to wear your bangs,  SO, if you go full swing and make the cut, we want to see it.  Tweet us a picture or leave it in the comment section below!
