Splurge -VS- Save... Great products that will save you money while achieving the same effect!

While cutting corners at school or work will probably only get you in detention or fired, cutting corners in your wallet can bring nothing but positivity, right??  Or at least more money to put away.  To be frank, we all would love to have the best hair products (so the market tells us) but sometimes it is just financially impossible.  While being a professional in the hair industry, before you read on I want to be clear that I am not encouraging you all to ditch your current fancy shampoo for carpet cleaner SUAVE.  I am just letting you know that there are some products out there that can save you a little money and will still be beneficial to your luxurious locks.  Shampoo and conditioner are not in although one of those products, as the cleansing of your hair is of the utmost importance.  Check out a few of my switch outs below!  All of the lesser priced products I have personally tried, and while they may not meet the exact quality of the more expensive brands, they definitely still work wonders!

For added shine and de-frizz:
Aveda Brilliant Hair Gloss- $28.00 -VS- L'Oreal Ever Style Smoothe Shine Serum- $6.99
Both will add shine in to your hair and tame any unwanted frizz while leaving your hair light and weightless.  L'Oreal although will save you some cash and still give you beautiful results.  Keep the serum away from your roots and focus on your ends to avoid an oily appearance.

For gentle texture:
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray- $26.00 4 oz. -VS- Garnier Fructis Style Beach Chic- $4.00 8.5 oz. 
I am a HUGE fan of the Bumble, but Garnier will give you more than double the product amount for a fraction of the price.  For the every day user, the Garnier is a no brainer choice winner in this battle.  You can spray in to damp hair and either leave to air dry for a beachy look or blow it dry for added texture in styling.

For total repair and healing:
Shu Uemura Ultimate Remedy - $38.00 30 ml -VS- Neutrogena Triple Repair- $8.00 150ml
These two leave in treatments are great for healing and repairing dry or brittle hair but the Neutrogena will most definitely do the trick for much less.  It will also last you a lot longer between purchases.  A win win scenario with this one!

Now I have obviously stressed the issue that all of these products will save you money, but they will also save you time.  You can purchase all three at your local drugstore as opposed to the fancier brands that need to be purchased from a beauty supply store or from the brands official website directly.  Time is money and money is time, and neither are to be wasted!
