Post Oscar Fever: Spotted Beauty Trends

The Oscars were Sunday, and I still have the fever.  There was so much hair and makeup amazingness to still be talked about!  With everyone ranting and raving, myself included, on the individual beauty and fashion choices that these Hollywood A listers made that night... a few things went noticeably unnoticed.  There were a few trends that were obviously standing out that night and instantly caught my eye.  Take a look at some of my favorites.

1- Severely Side Parted Waves- It was hard to not notice the drastic amount of starlets rocking a severe side part, tucked one sided hair, and soft waves.  This is a classic look and when done correctly can be stunning to any face shape.  It is perfect for a strapless or one shouldered dress.  It is also extremely versatile and can be worn for a day frolicking the town or an evening at the ball I mean Oscars.  Check out these familiar faces that sported this look on Sunday!

Sandra Bullock
Emma Watson
Jessica Biel

2- Plum Lips-  This was another undeniable trend that was seen on multiple ladies on Oscars night.  With more and more people trying to wear statement makeup, a dark lip is a quick fix that anyone can do themselves.  The berry tones have been all over the place and tend to look better on a wider variety of skin tones than a bright red.  These tones also take the fear out of it for some people, a lot of people think Red is too "vixen" esque and tend to feel more comfortable with a darker shade.  For darker skin tones like Kerry, keep it more on the purple side and lighter tones can go with a little more of a raspberry undertone.  It is all about finding the perfect shade for your specific skin tone, and these ladies killed it.

3- Beards- As if Duck Dynasty hasn't made enough of an impact on the world already, apparently the most dapper men in Hollywood have also jumped on the beard band wagon.  Unless of course, they are just lazy.  I think it is safe to say though that every girl can find a five o' clock shadow sexy here and there, and I actually personally prefer it.   Whether it was just a subtle goatee or a full on beard, these guys were full on supporting this trend.  The beard is BACK baby.   Check out these bearded studs below..
