TREND Alert !

TREND freaking ALERT!  We have been talking about red lips for a while now, no big deal. But this falls lip trend takes it to a whole new level.  We have been used to seeing bright, red apple lips, almost crayola red, but now it has under gone a total switch up.  With a more dark, romantic feel, black cherry red lips are all the rage.  Mmmm, I am licking my lips just thinking about it, it just makes me thing of black cherry ice cream or rich  cherry filled chocolate.  DE-licious. 

Again beautynistas, I recommend you stick with a more matte version of this bold color, as anything too shiny can just take over your whole face.  Not to mention that matte colors are "IN" at the moment anyway (to be mentioned in a future trend alert article).  

As we always say, when rockin' this lip we want to make sure to not over do the eyes.  Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT rock this lip with a super smoky eye.  I will not say that you can never get away with that, but I will tell you that is on a rare occasion that these two looks actually work well together.  Instead, try a light natural, neutral eye with and loads of mascara.  Now, if you are a smoky eye junkie and think that's just not enough, then throw in a pop of bold eye liner.  Either way, let the LIPS do the talkin'.  This lip will always look fierce with black, but don't be afraid to wear it with some color.  Get creative!
