Cause if sun burn isn't even cute on KK then its not cute on anyone! |
* Always use some form of SPF, whether its sunny or not. This can be in your moisturizer or foundation, but always have some protection on your face. We spend loads of money on removing lines and wrinkles from our faces..so why are we so neglectful of protecting ourselves from the single most responsible cause of these very lines and wrinkles??
* An SPF of 15 is perfect for the face, always make sure to re apply. If your moisturizer and foundation both have an SPF then you are double covered and good to go. For re-application, use a spray or mist as to not smudge any makeup already on the face.
* Try to find a product with retinol in it, Retinol helps to fill fine lines and wrinkles which is exactly what the sun can bring to your skin so an SPF with retinol in the ingredients is almost like a preventative measure and will make your skin feel great.
* When on the beach, always use a minimum of 30 SPF or more. I promise, you WILL still tan...and if you don't then your skin is probably fair and prone to burning anyway which is all the more need for extra extra sun screen.
* Use an SPF spray (Neutrogena makes a great one) to do a quick spray on application over any exposed arms and legs for a regular day on the town. You will feel less sticky, less sunscreen smelly, and you can quickly spray it on after you are already dressed.
* When at the beach or pool, put on your sun screen BEFORE putting on your baiting suit. This way you will be evenly lathered all over, so if the suit slips to one side or the other you won't have to worry about weird lines or burns.
* Find a scented sunscreen of your choosing to ditch the "you're not wearing sun screen so you don't smell like sun screen" excuse. Its so old, and you are only hurting your self.
I could go on for days with sun screen rambles and tips so I hope these small few help you each out a bit. I promise you beautynistas, though 40 may be the new 30...sun burn is NOT the new sun tan so please please protect your skin.
